Arts and Events in Peel

Regional Arts WA acknowledges the Aboriginal people of the Peel region as the traditional custodians. We are thankful to be on this country and acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging. We respect and celebrate the continuing contribution of Aboriginal Australians to culture and the arts.

At barely an hour’s drive from Perth, Peel is a smaller region – taking up only 50km of the WA coast – but it is nevertheless rich in beautiful landscapes and culture. The region has a population of more than 125,000 people, 65% of whom live in Mandurah – the second fastest growing regional city in the whole of Australia.

Wearable Art Mandurah

“Revolutionary Works of Art On The Body” comes to Mandurah this June, bringing the well-loved showcase of bold, evocative and experimental designs to the Peel region. Artists of all skill levels, ages, local and international will have incredible works on stage.

Pinjarra Festival

The Shire of Murray’s largest free community event celebrates the region’s heritage, arts and culture. The 2019 Festival is scheduled in for the first week of June, so don’t miss this chance to see an incredible show of Peel’s regional culture.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet and work. We cherish First Nation’s people and respect their spiritual connection to their land and cultural heritage and belief systems. We value these ancient systems and understand that they are thriving, evolving and will empower and enhance all Australians.
